But if you’re posting in fat acceptance with all your bullshit about fat bodies being diseased and posting workout tips, what you are saying is our bodies are not good enough for you. Our bodies do not meet your standards. So much that you invade this space we’ve made for ourselves online where…
Actually, I think that they’re saying that if people buy into the enablement, disempowerment, and distrust of the medical profession the FA movement is selling, their lives will be diminished and shortened.
I don’t care about you or your body. Never seen it, never will. I have precisely zero interest in it. But I do care about my body, in particular it being able to live a long time and do fun outdoorsy stuff while it’s alive. And I think of how much shorter less fun and fulfilling and rewarding my life would be if I’d bought into FA, and I wonder whether you guys even care about the people you mislead and oppression and so forth, or whether you just care about the enablement you get from each other.
Seems to me that true self-love and empowerment means actually taking care of yourself and tuning it up, instead of the opposite.
Safe spaces? I would have thought that if the FA movement was reasonable and defensible, you would welcome the chance for public debate, instead of hiding from it. Seeking out fitness-related tags to promote HAES, that sort of thing…
If you can’t stand up in public and offer a reasonably convincing apologia for what you believe, maybe it’s time to reconsider your convictions.
It’s cute how you went through my old posts to try and stir the pot. Didn’t take the time to read through your long ass negative post. Nice try.
